The Oaks - Dining Room
The Oaks - Dining Room
Before

After

The last space on the main level is DONE, REVEALED AND READY TO GO!!
I keep saying this for almost every room in the house but it is so crazy that we are at this point in the process! Coming up on 2 years since we started this project. It felt like it was never going to get to point and yet at the same time it is finally here!

I wasn't really sure the route I would go for dining chairs. I did actually purchase 2 whicker chairs for the ends of this table, but with the legs going across the bottom they just didn't fit. So I went back to square 1 and ended up coming across and going with these
Fabric Dining Chairs that come in a set of 2 for a really great price!
My hopes is that the soft cream/gray fabric will hold up well with this being a rental home!

I haven't added much to the walls at the Oaks. I have waited for the perfect spot and this corner in the dining room is that place!
The vintage bird portraits come in a pack of 4!

Over a year ago I had gone to Ikea, I saw this table in person and immediately thought of this exact spot. I loved the coloring (little did a know it would be almost the exact same as the flooring). 2 large pieces on the top and square leg end caps. I couldn't be more happy with this find!! It's solid oak and I think it will stand the test of time.

I get asked probably once a day what curtains I use. I have used these exact Pinched Pleated Blackout Curtains in the entire Oaks as well as Lakeside. I love the pleated look at draws in a little more of a vintage traditional vibe.
I went with the Gold Curtain Rod to add a pop of gold and shine to the main level.

We don't have an entry closet, so I made a little spot for coats to hang out of wooden pegs. It worked out great!

You have probably noticed I have this rug in a few different places. It is a durable rug with a pattern but not too color drenched, which I really like by the front door!
We can't wait to host you around the table :)
