I know it’s waaaayyy past mothers day, but I’m finally getting around to showing you all my present. To myself. Ha! Anyone else do that?? This is about how presents go in our house.

Me: “Hey honey, I’m at target and I found something really cute, did you want me to buy my own Mothers day present?”

Ryan: “You know what? That would be great. I’m glad you like it!”

Me: “You always know just what to get me :)”

Happens for about 6 out of the 7 holidays. I think this year I was 7 for 7. But you know what?? Everyone wins:)

So this year I found some new end table. Although I loved my stumps, they didn’t offer much space on top for coffee cups. The hubby keeps telling me if I didn’t fill them with so much stuff they would. Well, there’s that.

But I can’t sacrifice decor:)

So I found these at Target…

and a little extra storage never hurt either.

But don’t worry little stump friends. I couldn’t leave you behind. I switched out my little color block stump for a dark one.

I like how it brought the dark wood from my mirror and the menu board in the dining to over here. And it’s a bit bigger than the other, so I can juuuusssst fit my coffee cup on it. Score!

His friend is going upstairs in the boys room. I was planning on selling the two, but who knew I’d get so attached to stumps?

I. just. can’t. do. it.

So there you have it. Happy mothers day to me.
